Lionel O gauge trains and the 0-27 gauge models are the most common lionel model trains manufactured. Although the gauge (width of the track) is the same for both 0 and 0-27 based trains, the 0-27 designated track can have tighter curves which makes it more suitable for building a track in a confined space.

All the lionel O gauge train sets on sale here will run on 0 gauge, but some of the longer carriages might not make it round the tightest 0-27 gauge curve so be aware of that when matching O gauge Lionel trains and carriages to your track.
