Postwar Lionel trains cover more decades than prewar Lionel trains do, but trains made from immediately postwar to the early sixties are still pretty rare and are often snapped up by collectors as soon as they hit the market. So although postwar (WW2) covers over 60 years, the term "postwar" is probably more often used to describe Lionel postwar trains made in the late 40's, as well as the 50's and 60's.
